That Day I went VIP at Universal Studios Hollywood

Aloha peeps, today I want to take you on an exciting journey with me over to Los Angeles, the home of Universal Hollywood! When I visited LA on a work trip, I got to go to Universal Hollywood and I got to experience this amazing park in true style on the Universal Hollywood VIP tour!

So what is this VIP Experience all about you say? Well, the Universal theme park itself has a lot of the same rides as Orlando and its recently opened The Wizarding World of Harry Potter which is enough of a reason for me to go back lol. But what sets Universal Hollywood apart from it’s Orlando counterpart, is the VIP Experience which takes you behind the scenes into the world of TV & movies. (Yes the below is a selfie with the real ET!)

Universal Hollywood’s VIP Experience is like nothing I’ve ever done and it was the highlight of my time in Los Angeles. Extras on the VIP Experience include your own fancy VIP entrance, an AMAZING breakfast buffet, an even more delicious lunch, a private coach and your own private tour guide who takes you around the studio lots and gives you loads of information on the sets and the history of Universal Hollywood. Thats me on the tour below standing outside Susan’s house from Desperate Housewives!

I’m a huge TV / Movie buff so getting to see real working sets, prop houses, past famous sets and all the exciting in-betweens was amazing. I got to walk down Wisteria Lane from Desperate Housewives, see the original Physco set, walk around the town square from Back to the Future and I even got to visit the largest prop house in the world that had lots of items tagged for top tv shows, Revenge and Glee! It was amazing!

If you’re ever visiting LA and thinking of doing a theme park or studio tour I highly recommend Universal Studios and in my opinion, the only way to do it, is VIP!

I hope I get to go back soon! Would you go? 🙂

Hugs & Love,

  1. Your post reminds me of some of the things we missed when we were there a few years ago. We took a day trip from Vegas so didn’t have as much time as we’d have liked. We have to go back!
