Snow is Falling

Hey Everyone!

Yes that’s me smiling all crazy in the snow! Haha! How are we all? I haven’t been able to blog for days because my laptop is a stubborn little lady and refused to connect to my wifi! But I am back & I have loooooads to share with you!

So I’ve been in Toronto for almost three weeks now & things are beginning to settle – I’m working and we have moved into our cutesy little apartment! I love it so much and I have decorated it with floral print on everything haha (poor Paddy!!) :D

We live 15 mins by subway from Downtown but we live in an actual neighborhood - like in a film! How cool is that!? Right now, as you can probably tell from the title – it’s covered in snow.

I’m off work today and it’s so nice to have a chill out day, I called my mam back home for a chat and we were out (window) shopping in the Eaton Center this morning. I can’t wait to earn a few more bucks so I can go CRAY in there!

OH! We are going down to NYC in March for a weekend to meet my mam and family coming over from Ireland and I really can’t wait – they will be coming fully loaded with Easter Eggs & goodies from Penneys (Primark) for me! Whoop!

Any who here are some of my snaps from Instagram & I hope you enjoyed my lil update! :)

Bright Lights, Big City

Hello everyone! I’m almost a week in Toronto now and I am really liking it! The city is so nice – I just hope we find a home soon. For those that follow me on Instagram you may have seen my various snaps I’ve been taking.

Here is the entire Toronto collection so far…all three of them! :)

It’s a start though :) xxx

Here’s me right in the heart of it all – Dundas Square! Oh to be able to shop…

Snap Two:

Snap Three:

Saving the best for last – the CN Tower! I took this on our taxi ride in from the airport! I was so excited to see it because it meant I was in my new home :)

What you think of my snaps? I hope you like them :) xxx

Across the Pond

Hey all!

So here I am now on the other side of the pond! Yep, I have made my move to Toronto! We arrived on Tuesday afternoon & since arriving it has been all go! My first impressions are that I am loving the city – it’s vibrant, modern and full of life. I have such a good positive feeling that we are going to be so happy here.

It was so daunting packing up and leaving last Tuesday morning and the good byes were not easy but now that we are here a few days it all seems so much easier – my excited & adventurous side have kicked in and our job & apartment hunt is off to a flying start!

Once we get a little more settled (ie no longer homeless) I will be able to write and do better blog posts but for now, I better go try find a cute little apartment that we can call our home…and that I can decorate with flowers & polka dots!! Byeeee :D

So there I was on my lunch break strolling down Liffey Street in Dublin and I spot a giant leprechaun man with a suitcase strolling along. At first I didn’t take much interest & then I was like where is he going!? So I routed out my phone and discreetly following him.. a little, creep that I am haha and the result was the picture below which I just love.

I keep making up little stories in my head about where is was going & what’s in the suitcase.

What are your theories?

Let me know! :)

I Can Do Anything

For the month of July, I have set myself some new years resolutions. Yep, you read that corrrectly. See, when I make them in January it’s really a novelty not to keep them. Mainly because mine are generally health and food related and hey, in Winter we gotta eat to stay warm right!? (this is what I tell myself ;) ) So, I make my resolutions in July. And for the month, my aim is to become a runner. Running is something I generally turn my nose up too because I think “I can’t do it”, “I’m not able” etc etc… and although I used to be ok at it once upon a time, nowadays I have a mental block that I just can’t do it… But, I’m feeling like a challenge!!

All the while, it gets me towards a happier healthier self which is my overall main aim of the month and so far, I’m off to a flying start! Everyday I try to do a 3.8km walk and each day I jog a little more of it by setting small goals and check points to meet everyday. Today, I can proudly say I jogged about 48% of the route, which to me is a huge achievement! (pats myself on the back & smiles like an idiot :) ).

I’m back home now & still aching from last nights Pilates class let alone tonights walk/jog but I feel I can do anything. I figure if I can run almost 2km after I thought I could never even run for two minutes, then I can do anything!

What a nice feeling to have after a hard days work.

I am refreshed & smiling :)

ps. if anyone is on the same boat as me or has become a runner, please do offer advice. I appreciate it all so much!X
