I Heart NYC
Hey everyone! So I am just back in Toronto after an amazing weekend with some of my family in the one and only New York City. Myself and Paddy flew down Friday morning and surprised them all turning up early! They weren’t expecting us for another hour or so, it was great to see they were just as excited as us! ![]()

Erin go Bragh
Dia Duit friends, I hope you all had a super fun Paddy’s Day? As you all know, this was my first one living across the pond and I had a really great day. Moving from the Monasterevin Parade to the parade in Toronto Canada was quite a jump and we really didn’t know what to expect. We made our way into Downtown yesterday morning for it all dressed in green and proud as punch of our country and our culture. What do you think of my green shamrock specs!?
It’s amazing how fascinating Canadians find you when your from Ireland. Everyday my co-workers and many others are fascinated by my (bogger!!) accent and my Irish nature. And although they are like the Americans where everyone of them is Irish through their sisters, brothers, mothers, fathers milk man – a lot of them have been to and absolutely adore Ireland and the Irish culture. This was evident yesterday as hundreds of Canadians and Irish joined together to celebrate our little green home that does, at times feel a million miles away.
The parade was great, different from what I expected but great. There was lots of trad music, plenty of laughs and so many Irish/Canadians taking part. It was also great to hear hundreds of Irish accents yesterday. You could have been in Dublin! We really had a great day. Paddy even had some green beer!!
How was your Paddy’s Day and where in the world did you celebrate it?
Here are some of my fav snaps from the day:
My Week in Pictures
Hello all! This week has been super busy for me out here, we had Pancake Tuesday, we went to the Hockey Hall of Fame, we had a snow storm and we got to do a bit of exploration.
My biggest achievement of the week was cooking looooads of yummy pancakes for Pancake Tuesday. I’ve never made them before so I was super happy when I made lots of perfect yummy ones!
We haven’t done much touristy things yet so this weekend we are making the effort to see some of the city’s top sights! Yesterday after dinner with a friend, myself and Paddy headed to the Hockey Hall of Fame. I wasn’t sure if I would like it as I know nothing about hockey but we had a really great day! Tomorrow is a bank holiday here in Canada so we have some plans and weather permitting, we will get to go up the CN Tower! I’m looking forward to the view!
We have also had some strolls around, some snow and overall lots of fun! Here are some of my fav pics from the week!
Hope you like them

Hi all, hope you are all keeping well and keeping cool! I have been super busy since starting my new job so I apologize for the lack of posting! I wanted to give you all a quick post with some of my pics of the focal point of Toronto – the CN Tower.
When you are coming into the city, this is the first thing you see, suffice to say when we arrived I got incredibly excited and started taking hundreds of pics from the taxi!
Since then, as I work super near it, I’m often taking pics of it on my daily commute. I am fascinated by it. I haven’t had the chance to go up it yet, so here are some of the pics I’ve taken looking up at it.
I hope you enjoy them

Snow is Falling
Hey Everyone!
Yes that’s me smiling all crazy in the snow! Haha! How are we all? I haven’t been able to blog for days because my laptop is a stubborn little lady and refused to connect to my wifi! But I am back & I have loooooads to share with you!
So I’ve been in Toronto for almost three weeks now & things are beginning to settle – I’m working and we have moved into our cutesy little apartment! I love it so much and I have decorated it with floral print on everything haha (poor Paddy!!)
We live 15 mins by subway from Downtown but we live in an actual neighborhood - like in a film! How cool is that!? Right now, as you can probably tell from the title – it’s covered in snow.
I’m off work today and it’s so nice to have a chill out day, I called my mam back home for a chat and we were out (window) shopping in the Eaton Center this morning. I can’t wait to earn a few more bucks so I can go CRAY in there!
OH! We are going down to NYC in March for a weekend to meet my mam and family coming over from Ireland and I really can’t wait – they will be coming fully loaded with Easter Eggs & goodies from Penneys (Primark) for me! Whoop!
Any who here are some of my snaps from Instagram & I hope you enjoyed my lil update!
