I’m sure most of you know by this stage that I am a huuuuge fan of the Big Apple. I love everything about it; the shopping, the sites, the excitement, the crowds, the atmosphere, the busy streets – the lot!
New York was the first place I ever went in the US and as a teen girl on my first trip it just blew my mind! I think I was 15 on my first trip there. Fast forward ten years (SWEET JESUS) and I am on my way back for my 8th time! How absolutely incredible is that!
I know I’m blessed to have even went once and I know New York is somewhere that many can only ever dream of going. To think I’m going again in November for the 8th time and all by the age of 25 just blows my mind to be honest.
It’s funny that I never tire of it as a destination. It has had it’s hooks in me ever since I first went. I’ve bought my debs dress there, I’ve bought thousands of euros worth of clothes, I’ve done the sites, I’ve had New York pizza and I’ve walked the streets dozens of times.
The funny thing is, there is still SO MUCH I haven’t done there and I love that! The city is full of surprises and things to do!
On my next trip in November I plan on shopping til I drop. I need new UGGs so bad and I think Sephora shall be hit again! I’m also a massive Jersey Gardens fan so a day (or two) will be spent out there shopping mad as well!
I also want to go see the Brooklyn Bridge up close as I’ve never seen it! Everytime I go I’m like – yep Brooklyn will be hit and I never get around to it so I deffo will on this trip! π
We also want to catch a hockey game if we could. Hockey is something we grew to love from living in Canada all last year so to get to a game would make the trip for us! Wicked is also high on my list!
I really cannot wait – it’s going to be so much fun! π
Have any of you been to NYC before and heart it as much as me? Β If you have any weird and wonderful must do’s for me, make sure to let me know! I love getting insider advice from fellow Big Apple lovers like myself! π
Roll on November! π

I never went to New York but it is one of my dream (going to Paris is my bigest dream)!
Paris is gorgeous! You must make your dream come true π xx
I’m going to New York myself in April for a week and I’m so excited! I’ve never been before so am kinda nervous and excited because its such a big city, can’t wait to hit Sephora! π
Oh Alisha you will love it! The atmosphere is incredible! Make sure to let me know how you get on!! Would love to hear all about it π xx
I’m so on the fence about if I ever want to visit New York enough especially if it’s up against Washington DC or Chicago – it’s never really called to me in the same way! I’m sure you’ll have tonnes of fun through!
That’s funny as I wouldn’t have interest in going to those cities cause I’m afraid they won’t match up to NYC! In saying that though I prob will visit them at some point anyways! Xx
If you haven’t already been I’d recommend Ellen’s Stardust Diner. The meat packing district has some really fun bars; Brass Monkey and Hogs and Heifers were favs of mine. The view revolving restaurant in the Marriott on Times Sq. Amazing way to see the City at night. Soho for all the boutiques and some really cool street vendors.
Niamh this is great thank you! π xxx

I’ve never been to NYC, but I’d love to! I’m green with envy. You have a lot of time to get ready for this trip and think over your shopping π
