My Top 3 Galway City Hotels

Its no secret that the city of Galway is my favourite place in Ireland. No matter the weather or no matter the time of the year, its always full of energy and life. Whenever I can sneak away for a few days, Galway is always first on my list and as a result, I’ve stayed in a ALOT of Galway City hotels. With that in mind, I thought I’d do a quick post on my favourite 3 Galway City hotels because its something I’m often asked about. The three hotels I mention are all 4* hotels as I do enjoy this standard of accommodation and offering.

The best value for money – Clayton Hotel Galway

The Clayton is a really lovely 4*, modern hotel located about 10 minutes from Galway’s city centre. We’ve stayed here many times and we always find it fantastic value for money if you’re looking for a 4* hotel, with a lower price. We also don’t mind being on the outskirts of the city so if you’re the same, this is a great option. Breakfast is also very nice at this hotel and it does have a pool on-site. Being honest though, the pool is very small and so we don’t tend to use when we’re there.

The best for location & luxury extras – Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa Galway

I loved the Radisson! Its modern, its got an amazing restaurant on-site and it so central. Β On-site there is also a FAB spa which we enjoyed during our stay at the hotel and it really is gorgeous, peaceful and so relaxing. The pool on-site is also fab and the best part!? They have an outdoor hot tub with really lovely views over a small lake! If you’re getting the train to Galway, this is also a great option as its right in the centre of Galway City and about a five minute walk from the train station!

The best all-rounder – The Connaught Hotel

The Connaught Hotel is probably my favourite hotel in Galway and I tend to stay here the most. Its about 5 minutes from the city centre and so Galway is very accessible and the hotel is just fab! The staff are so friendly, the bar / restaurant is lovely with great food and the breakfast is always delicious! Its a very busy hotel and every time we stay, there is always a major rugby team or soccer team on-site as well. What I also love are the rooms! They’re very modern and spacious and they feel luxurious. There is also a lovely swimming pool on-site.

I can’t wait to plan my next trip to the West and I wonder where I will be staying! πŸ™‚ But for now, I hope you enjoyed my run through of my top 3 hotels in Galway City!Β If you’re planning a trip to Galway, why not look up the above, I promise, your stay will be fab if you do! πŸ™‚
