Home Office Ideas

My fiance and I (can’t believe I can say that now lol!) have just gotten the keys to our beautiful new dream home and we are busy getting everything done in it to move in. While we are starting basic with our color themes throughout the house we will be building each room up over time to meet our style.

One of the major exciting things in our new home is that we are going to have an office! And by office I mean a beautiful room with a purdy desk for me to blog at and a big old beautiful floral arm chair for me to sit in and read a book!

I’ve always wanted a proper dedicated blog space because right now my blog space is basically my bed!! I feel like a blogging Cinderella and I’m finally going to the ball!

I plan everything onΒ PinterestΒ (hello, my name is Kathleen and I’m a Pinterest addict) and our new office is one of the many dozens of boards that I have. I pitched the idea of a very bright, minimal space to the other half and he is loving it! Yay! He does say can we not have fairy lights etc but hey if they just happen to show up I think all will be ok! πŸ˜‰

Here are some images I’m taking my inspiration from, I’d love to know your thoughts and for those of you lucky enough to have an office/blogging space, are there are stores I must visit to get some accessories!? I hear Ikea is the go to place for the white glossy desk I just need for blog photos!?

  1. Oh I’d love a proper office space. I’m studying part-time and end up doing all my work on my knee on my bed, rubbish! A home office is my dream. Your inspiration pictures are gorgeous.

  2. Looking forward to seeing the final result. It’s something I’m hoping to also do in coming months.
Ikea will definitely be for me & adverts.ie

  3. Lovely ideas there. Love the pastels and the neon pink too. I too always wanted my own office/study, which I have now but I tend to use it more for just storage of my books and stuff as I prefer to blog by the fireside with a big mug of tea and keeping cosy. Creature of habit I am πŸ™‚ Looking forward to reading lots about your new home .

    All things nice…
