Harmony of the Seas – The World’s Biggest Ship Brings the WOW Factor

I’m fresh off Royal Caribbean’s incredible new ship Harmony of the Seas and WOW was I blown away! Harmony of the Seas is now the world’s largest cruise ship and she’s a mecca for those who seek a luxury holiday with a fun twist. Harmony is packed with fun features, incredible dining, sensational entertainment and all the in-between.

After my short cruise on Harmony of the Seas, I can confirm that the world’s biggest ship does have the wow factor! Here are my 10 of my highlights from Harmony of the Seas!

1. The Ultimate Abyss

100Ft – 10 Decks – 13 seconds – Freefall

The above is everything you need to know about the amazing Ultimate Abyss slides on Harmony of the Seas! A must for dare devils, the tallest slides at sea will drop you down 10 decks and at a whopping speed of 13 seconds! This not for the faint hearted! I repeat, this is not for the faint hearted!

2. Bionic Bar

The Bionic Bar is a cocktail bar where you order your drink from an iPad. Once your order has been placed,a robot will make you your drink and serve it to you! On Harmony, you can find the Bionic Bar in the Royal Promenade area of the ship on Deck 5. Seriously, its the coolest experience so do check it out!

3. Royal Promenade

I just loved the Royal Promenade. By day, a shopping and dining space and by night an entertainment district with a twist. The Royal Promenade ticked all my boxes and it truly is the heart of the ship for all activities. With character meet n greets for the little ones and street parades for everyone to enjoy, there is always something going on, on the Royal Promenade.

4. The Solarium

Located at the front of the ship, the Solarium is a relaxing, adult only space that’s perfect for lazing in the sun. With plenty of sun beds, cabana’s and a selection of jacuzzi’s, its the perfect place to unwind in the sunshine.

Royal Caribbean announced that Harmony of the Seas would be the first of their ships to feature VOOM, the fastest wifi at sea. And after a weekend of constantly being online, I can confirm that this wifi is fantastic. Its fast, it could be accessed from all areas of the ships and it was reliable. All a win, win in my books!

6. The Staterooms

I was lucky enough to have a Superior Ocean View Balcony Cabin on my cruise and I have to admit, it was tough to leave the cabin at all! Elegantly designed, comfortable and spacious, the cabin was the nicest I’ve stayed in on a cruise ship to date. I was also so impressed with the comfort and quality of the bed and linens. No joke, my bed on Harmony was the bed of my life!

7. Grease the Musical

One of my top 3 highlights, Grease the Musical was out of this world! From the actors to the props to the whole production – the show was incredible. Royal Caribbean are known for their top class entertainment and my word, I can clearly see why!

8. 90’s Street Party – Royal Promenade

While on board, the very enthusiastic entertainment team threw a 90’s street party in the Royal Promenade and it was so much fun! They had everyone dancing and laughing as they took us in a time machine back to nostalgia!

9. Central Park

Harmony of the Seas has seven neighbourhoods and one of them is Central Park. This is a stunning area of the ship and while strolling through, you wouldn’t know you’re on a cruise ship! Enjoy a coffee and take a moment to breath, in this relaxing area of the ship. In Central Park you can also find lots of great dining options including Jamie’s Italian and Chop’s Grill.

10. The Broadwalk

The Broadwalk is a really fun part of the ship and its home to the Carousel, the end of the Ultimate Abyss and the Aqua Theatre. Its also got lots of dining options including Johnny Rockets, Sebore, Starbucks and a Hotdog Bar.

So there you have it, 10 of my highlights from on board Harmony of the Seas! And if I am honest, I could write down 10 more including the stunning spa, Studio B and the Aqua Theatre… The list just goes on and on when it comes to how amazing Harmony of the Seas is!

I hope to get to cruise on her again…perhaps for my honeymoon! 😉

  1. Kathleen,

Delighted to hear what you thought of it and love the photos. Yes for sure, I would sail on any of their ships… I went on Allure last year and it was very like Harmony, apart from no Ultimate Abyss, but it did have an ice skating rink which I was delighted to have almost to my self for 2 hours.. I loved Central Park- thought it was so relaxing… I love their smaller older ships too, they feel like home as you get to know the staff more and they are more personal. Looking out for some good deals for a cruise in late August or September time. I’m hooked on them now. They seem expensive when you look at the price first but in reality they are far cheaper than staying in a 4/5 star hotel all inclusive in different cities around Europe with free entertainment too… Oh and Tour America is a good place to book 🙂

    All things nice…

    • I had the best time! It was truly amazing 🙂 I’m really going to do one on my honeymoon next year! I’m sold! 🙂 … and of course I will also be booking with Tour America!! 😀

  2. I can’t believe that’s inside a ship! It’s huge!
