Giving up the Cookies: A Changing Body

It’s like I just woke up one day and was like oh, I look a little different today! After having lots of ups and plenty of downs in the last few months, this week I have started to notice a huge difference in my appearance. All my hard work and efforts are paying off and I feel absolutely brilliant!

People are coming up to me and telling me I look great and that I’ve lost so much weight and the truth is I haven’t lost that much off my body, I’ve just toned up a lot and I’m delighted it’s finally starting to show! 🙂

I’m at the point now where the thought of eating something sweet for the sake of it doesn’t even cross my mind. I have the very odd little nibble and I mean nibble and it keeps me going for a few days. When I think of myself this time last year I was the complete opposite – I was a total chocoholic and to be honest I can’t believe how far I have come!

It’s true what they say, it’s the long term changes that will see results not the quick fix diets and not starving yourself. You have to dedicate your life to the change. You need to set goals and you need to work your ass off to get them, achieve them and better them!! That’s my attitude to all of this!

I’m not where I want to be yet but I’ve three months down and who knows where I will be in three months time! I guess I will have to keeping working hard and see! 🙂

Until next time!

5 Must do Walks in Leinster

In my last blog post, I took you on a one day adventure in Nassau ...

  1. Fair play Kathleen! I have seen your Happy video and you look fantastic 🙂

  2. You are doing great Kathleen, you are kicking ass with this! Keep up the good work, I know you can do it. x

  3. Well done! you’re totally right, it’s positive, sustainable changes that get you the results you need. Not fad diets or calorie watching. The fact that people are now remarking on your figure must be a huge motivator too! Keep it up and stay confident!

    • Thanks so much Claire! It really is a huge motivator because it shows me I’m not just imagining the changes! I’m still the same size in my clothes so I’m aiming to go down one size! Hopefully I’m well on my way! Xxx

  4. Great post, I’m happy for you that you’re feeling happier with your body! You’ve touched on something I’ve been thinking about a lot recently. I realized I’d been justifying pigging out as a reward when I’d had a rough day, but a few days ago I realized how silly this is. Why would I reward myself by doing something that makes me feel worse? It seems so obvious yet I’d never realized before. Thanks for the extra inspiration today & hope that this continues going well for you 🙂

    • Sarah thank you so much for this comment! You have actually made me feel so special and I’m so glad I helped inspire you. I used to be the same with food but now I exercise to feel better on hard days! Keep up the good work xxxx
