Last Year

Wow 2014 flew by. I wasn’t sure what sort of year it would turn out to be. I had just moved home from Toronto and I was struggling to settle into the slow paced life of Ireland. At the start, I felt lost but 2014 quickly turned into one of the best years for me.

It wasn’t without it’s troubles and family death greeted us a few times in the year which was hard. But aside from the troubles we had in that sense, I had an amazing year. I got to travel so so much, we got our first home and most importantly my wonderful other half asked me to be his wife. 2014 certainly won’t be a year I’ll forget! Here’s a look back on my year!

Top Three 2014 Highlights:

1. Getting Engaged in NYC! <3

NYC-EngagementI was the happiest girl in the world on November 15th 2014. I’ll never forget the day and getting engaged really is the most special occasion! Getting to plan our wedding is going to be so so exciting!

2. New Home!

I’m so excited that after many many months we finally got the keys to our beautiful new home! I can’t wait to get moved in! It’s all so exciting! This is me sitting up in the attic! 🙂

3. Meeting Paolo Nutini

So yeah. This explains itself! I’ve been a HUGE fan of Paolo Nutini since he first came on the scene about eight years ago. This was one of the best nights of my life! Amazing!

The Travels

Lanzarote, LA, Palm Springs, Santa Barbara, Anaheim, Quantum of the Seas, New York City and Orlando Florida. I’ve had quite the year of travel! I work in the travel industry and I’m extremely lucky that my job gives me the opportunity to see the world. 2014 was just incredible. The highlights of my travel had to be flying business class to LA in a flat bed!! I swear I would have gone around the world in that chair!!

Lanzarote: I went to Lanzarote in June with Paddy and we had a blast! We try to go every year, it’s our little escape! outfit-of-the-day-fbloggers

LA: I stayed on Rodeo Drive 90210 while in LA and it was amazing! Right out of Pretty Woman and 90210! I also went VIP at Universal Hollywood and walking down the actual Wisteria Lane from Desperate Housewives was my highlight!! Amazing!

Palm Springs: Palm Springs was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been! My highlight was visiting the San Andreas Fault which is the starting point of many Californian earthquakes. It was truly incredible.

Santa Barbara: Santa Barbara is one of the best places I’ve ever been too. I didn’t want to leave! It’s the perfect So Cal city and it’s beachy vibe won me over. Loved every second of my time there.

Quantum of the Seas: I was on the inaugural sailing on the world’s first smart ship and my god was it AMAZING!! It was a very special occasion to be a part of.

NYC: Well NYC was my ultimate trip because we got engaged. It was my 7th or 8th visit to the city (I’ve lost track!!) and it was just the most special trip! <3

Orlando: The week after NYC I flew to Orlando with my co-workers to experience all it had to offer. We had a blast and it was an awesome shopping trip as well!! 😉

Flying Business Class: So this day was amazing! I flew business class to LA with BA and I had my own pod with a flat bed chair!! I felt like royalty! My pics of the chair are blurry because I didn’t want to be seen as the one who takes pics of their business class seat hahaha!! 😀

I also joined Slimming World in November 2014 and so that is an exciting new journey for me. I’m really starting to find my feet with it and I ended 2014 ten pounds lighter which I’m so happy out.

2015 is shaping up to be an amazing year and I can’t wait to enjoy it all! See you 2014! Thanks for being kind 90% of the time!

Hugs and Love,
